For more than 26 years, Dr. David Branch has cared for children throughout Maine with a variety of congenital and acquired conditions involving the skin, hands, and upper extremities. Our goal is always to provide the safest treatment while minimizing the long-term impact on growth, function, and appearance.

Conditions Commonly Treated

Our pediatric practice includes evaluation and treatment of many conditions, including:

• Congenital hand differences, including syndactyly (webbed fingers), polydactyly (extra fingers), trigger thumb, and selected thumb abnormalities
• Hand and upper extremity injuries
• Pediatric burns and burn reconstruction
• Prominent ears (otoplasty)
• Benign skin lesions and selected congenital nevi
• Tissue expansion for staged removal of large congenital nevi
• Scar revision and selected soft tissue reconstruction

A Collaborative Approach

Some complex pediatric conditions—such as cleft lip and palate, craniofacial disorders, complex vascular anomalies, and major brachial plexus injuries—are best treated at specialized multidisciplinary children's centers.

When appropriate, Dr. Branch works collaboratively with these regional pediatric specialists to ensure that every child receives the care that best meets their individual needs.
